6th Grade Science introduces core concepts and hands-on inquiry skills across the major scientific disciplines. Students will explore the following subject and topics: Earth and Space Science (investigating planetary structures, interconnected Earth systems, and the cosmos) Life Science (analyzing cells, body systems, and ecosystem biodiversity). Physical Science fundamentals (understanding matter, energy, basic chemistry, and the laws of force and motion). Science and Engineering Skills—learning the nature of scientific investigation, applying the engineering design process, and communicating complex ideas. Students will also learn how to analyze problems, evaluate designs, and understand the process of iteration.
